Man, I played the other nite at a place I haven't played in a year or so. We got there and set up out stuff. But man, I could NOT get my tone to sound good. The whole nite I sounded like *An Oblique Spheroid of Processed Food Matter That Attracts Flies*. The gig sucked because I hated my tone, so I wasnt into it. My singer said not to worry about it. He said he's played plenty of worse gigs before I was ever in the band. Laughing I was in a pretty bad mood, but my girlfriend was there to "make it up to me" after Laughing But it was, by far the worst gig I ever played. But bad gigs come and go I suppose Question

There is no "supposing" about it. Just suck it up and deal with it.
As an old friend of mine says.........Sometimes you eat the bear. And sometimes the bear eats you. Cool

Well... Tone seems to come and go. There are some days I just turn on the amp and plug the guitar in and the tone just sucks. The next day, playing with the exact same settings it sounds great. Its just the mood one's in.

Maybe you just had some bad juice? Shocked

A little dash of mojo and some tabasco will fix it for next time. Wink

I have to let the tubes in my DeVille warm up for about 30 minutes before she sounds good. A colder room might affect that.
