Years ago I could not do a gig without a good portion of my favorite booze and plenty of cold brew . A smoke hanging from my mouth dropping ash all over myself . Eyes closed banging out a big thick groove from my '64 P Bass .
One night during the last set , and , almost a fifth of Jim Beam in a seedy little pub by the river , I closed my eyes during my guitar player's solo in Little Wing and , started drifting in REVERSE !
This joint was right on the river bank . There were windows over looking the river directly behind the band . We had our back drop over the windows and by the time I gathered my wits and open'd my eyes (while in reverse) I heard this big crash . My back side was going through the window behind me ! Of all the places to land , I had managed to hit the window dead on . Before falling 2 stories down onto a breakwall , the butt and the neck of my trusty bass hit the window caseing . I've never held on to my axe that hard ! oh ya , I had the cost of the window taken out of my pay ... lol Cool

YEOW! How did the bass survive the incident? It at least deserved a new case or something.

That story has to get an award. For what, I don't know, but it deserves one.
