It has long been established that i possess very little in the department that is known as........... style. So i thought i'd get some feedback from the fairer sex!

I'm dabbling with the idea of choppin the mop off! *dramatic gasp!* It's gettin a bit long these days and i'm all about the low maintinence! Now my opptions are as follows:

Shave it all down with a 'lecky razor, using something like a 1 or a 2 guard. (This is my favoured "do")

Or.

Let the maine grow out to about shoulder length (it's near that now) and enjoy it's gentle bobin' and weavin' in the breeze! Lol

Now of course there are some vairiables, such as facial hair, that will thicken the plot as it were! And i usualy wear the ol' "three day beard" unless im feelin' snappy (rare!) or goin out some where nice! (even rarer!)

So being that i'm attempting to attract a potential mate! I'd like to know what a ladies general view is on stylish cuts fer a chap in his early 20's put simply gals........ Long or short!? Confused

I keep mine short, between a 2 guard and clean shaven, but that's because I'm developing a bald spot, and no one wants to see that.

cooper - here 'ya go, just trying to help, not cause a debate. Those of us with a mate, and assuming it's a traditional partnership, can do what they want, and just about look as they please. In some types of relationships the partner has more input, I'm not trying to be funny. Men who are in a secure relationship can look or dress as they want and usually get away with it - but be sensitive to the partner's feelings if stated logically, preferably for your benefit. If you have a job and support the woman, it will certainly augment what she thinks of you. Laughing

When you're courting, best to look really clean and neat, and facial hair is a turn-off to ladies at that stage I think. They prefer smoothness to roughness. Good manners are essential too, listening and reflecting their thoughts back, showing care & understanding.

Ladies like to feel your smooth bald head in their hands. Shave it off.

Once you have hooked them, then you can do what you like.

I prefer short hair and neatly trimmed facial hair.

For the men who may be thinning a little on top, please don't do the comb over. A short cut like Sting's (even a little shorter would be better) is very attractive.

All women have there preferences, but I think it depends on what looks good on the guy to. I like long hair and clean shaven. But my ex looked horrible in long hair. He loked like a 70's druggy throwback, expecially whan he added the gotee. He looked much better with a tom cruise type cut.

As long as you keep it neat and clean, I don't think it will matter much. Your best be is to ask a friend (preferably a girl) if she thinks the style you have lookes good on you or not.

My two cents.

So do the guys prefer long or short hair for women? Does age make a difference?

I've had my hair just above my shoulders for the past few years and now I'm letting it grow out again. I kind of like it long and silky.

Really either or for me. (But not Demi Moores G.I Jane style ya know? Lol!) base of the neck, draped over shoulders or able to sit on it, its all good for me. Of course i can't speak for every guy on here..

Now blonde v brunette? Quite a different kettle of Kippers! Lol! Cool

I like a woman's hair long. There are always exceptions.

One of the mothers of our figure skaters - all the girls/skaters have long hair BTW, in pony tails; seems to be the style - okay this Mom, well uhhh..... she got her hair all shaved at the back, and left a really, really long piece in front, that flops around from side to side, and it's coloured light blonde, like a blonde paint brush, or how about a horses tail hanging in her face? But I 've seen that style and two tone colors in pics and in cartoons and drawings!

You could do that?

This woman did it 'cuz she drives a fast motorcycle..... uhhh a crotch rocket, totally inappropriate example to her children, but the haircut was for wearing the full face helmet. Rolling Eyes

Long hair does it for me. I like perms, too. Short hair on a woman has to be really cute and stylish - I hate the short-because-its-easy look. Ladies, you can pony-tail long hair when you don't want to spend time on it, but do let it flow most of the time. My hair is long, and I'm surprised how many women like it that way. Locks of Love will get it sooner or later but I like it when chicks dig it Cool
