Mine was there! We spent two weeks during Christmas and New Years of 1975 in Goose Bay, Labrador... entertaining the U.S., Canadian and British Air Force Bases there. Much of the equipment arrived from the flight damaged... what wasn't physically broken by baggage handlers was broken from temperature implosion (tubes, etc...). We spent two weeks on the ground amid white outs and -110 below zero temperatures. On the bright side, we found very friendly people there who got our gear working and treated us almost like gods. The closest thing they'd seen to a band up there was a local Inuit country band. We had five complete Christmas dinners... from families who invited the entire band and treated us to an incredible varierty of various international cuisines. The overall conditions, however, were beyond harsh. They lose people up there every year... find them in the spring when things thaw down. _________________

Why people even live there is just beyond my scope of reason. Why would anyone put up with such harsh conditions; and have it repeated every year, at that? _________________ Yer guitar pickin' friend,
