Like the title says folks. I am looking for some songs to work on that will teach me some restraint and to slow down. My dang hands are just to busy and I feel like I am playing over the song rather than with it. _________________ Summum ius summa iniuria. |

OK, get some old J. J. Cale CDs and relax a little, 'specially his first one. The blues don't have to go 100 mph! Sometimes I put that one on, and just kick back and enjoy the blues. _________________ ...all the gray areas are becoming black holes... |

Thanks Stan,
I'll check it out. Can I still do lots o harmonics and dive bombs The speed thing did not come with playing metal. I acquired that when I got married and had all my stuff in the house. I could not stand to play with the amp choked back. So I would only play for about 30 mins. To compensate I would play everything 100 mph. _________________ Summum ius summa iniuria. |

Well, sure, you can still do that stuff, it just won't fit!
Oh, I see, you can get a 4-hour gig done in 30 minutes! Man, that's some compression! _________________ ...all the gray areas are becoming black holes... |

Go back to the original tasty basics, Lonewolf. T-Bone Walker. The man EVERYBODY in (electric guitar) blues copied! _________________ Yer guitar pickin' friend,

Mmmm...
Crazy Mama
After Midnight
Call Me The Breeze
River Runs Deep
Magnolia
Crying Eyes
Nowhere to Run
Call the Doctor
Those are all off his first album, Naturally. Most excellent (IMHO), all pretty laid back and groovin'.
Enjoy! _________________ ...all the gray areas are becoming black holes... |
