I used a Steve Vai Morley for the last 2 years, then recently discovered the Vox Clyde wah.
Now I'm a happy guy. Cool

I bought a Daphon wah for $30 off ebay the other week. Cheap, nasty, plastic. Just wanted to get the hang of it before going and spending $230 on a Crybaby. It sounds great though on a couple of our songs, but it really does screw with my tone. I'll probably wait 6 months or so for it to die before I get something worthwhile.

I'd REALLY love the bass Crybaby too...so much fun to play.

i just bought a zak wylde wah for 90 bucks. It sounds good to me but it tis the only wah pedal i have used. Have any of you guys played one before, and if you have how do you compare to say the 230 wah pedals.

thanks,
David

I have several craybabys, one from 1975. The best wah I have found is my Fulltone Clyde. IMO

I had an original Clyde McCoy definitely the best wah ever. I have heard good things about the 535Q though. With the q control it can emulate most of the good old wahs.

I've got a Dunlop Wah that has what is effectively a bypass. It has a switch under the pedal that turns the Wah on and off when the pedal is pressed hard down. Cool

I don't use is virtually at all, but next time I'm in the amp cave I'll check it out and let you know which model number it is. Wink

Depends what it has for a switch. Some of them turn the wah circuit off but still run the signal through it. Others when the switch is off the signal is routed straight to the output (true bypass).
