I bought this one to keep as a collectable. Cool

But now I want (really badly) to play it.... #Mad

Jeez, maybe I'll have to buy another one to be my collectable one... Rolling Eyes

Lastly, these guitars are NOT expensive when you get a deal from a good Fender dealer, in fact they are cheaper than many CIJ Teles that are being sold on eBay. That makes them the deal of the CENTURY! Wink

Playin' em doesn't hurt value. Not playin' em is downright sinful.

But in Ajay's case playin' em all would be downright impossible.

If we could all get together, we could play 'em all at once. Cool Smile

Firebird has arrived... a little disappointed, it appears that it has a refinished body (which was conveniently ignored in the eBay description) Mad

It is however, a nice playing guitar, although a little weird compared to a Tele. Shocked

More photos shortly...

That one looks very nice, but I'm sorry they didn't "mention" the refinishing. From the pics, it looks like a pretty decent job.

That would be Way Weird after playing a Tele. Laughing Laughing

Stay tuned,
Stan

Yes, it is a good refin job, so it's not a huge deal. Wink

It would be interesting to know just how much Mojo the refin had removed... Rolling Eyes

No doubt, that could have been a real road warrior. Y'know, I've never played one of those, are they neck heavy, or do they just look like they don't balance well? Cool

Yeah, they are a bit neck heavy and the bridge is more to the left than a "normal" guitar. Does help with palm muting though. Wink

Are those the 'mini humbuckers'? How do they sound? There was a thread linking to a Warren H. video and the discussion about the pickups in the Thunderbird he was playing. These look the same. Is it me or does this color seems unual? I'm use to seeing dark (red, black or sunburst) T-birds; blond seems more of a Telecaster color.
