I bought this one to keep as a collectable.
But now I want (really badly) to play it....
Jeez, maybe I'll have to buy another one to be my collectable one...
Lastly, these guitars are NOT expensive when you get a deal from a good Fender dealer, in fact they are cheaper than many CIJ Teles that are being sold on eBay. That makes them the deal of the CENTURY! _________________ There ain't nothing you can't play on a Telecaster

Playin' em doesn't hurt value. Not playin' em is downright sinful. _________________ Whether you think you can...or you can't...you're right!

But in Ajay's case playin' em all would be downright impossible. _________________ Just your average run-of-the-mill Superhero 'n stuff

If we could all get together, we could play 'em all at once. _________________ Whether you think you can...or you can't...you're right!

Well, I don't have that many amps...
although that collection is growing as well

Firebird has arrived... a little disappointed, it appears that it has a refinished body (which was conveniently ignored in the eBay description)
It is however, a nice playing guitar, although a little weird compared to a Tele.
More photos shortly... _________________ There ain't nothing you can't play on a Telecaster

That one looks very nice, but I'm sorry they didn't "mention" the refinishing. From the pics, it looks like a pretty decent job.
That would be Way Weird after playing a Tele.
Stay tuned,

Yes, it is a good refin job, so it's not a huge deal.
It would be interesting to know just how much Mojo the refin had removed... _________________ There ain't nothing you can't play on a Telecaster

No doubt, that could have been a real road warrior. Y'know, I've never played one of those, are they neck heavy, or do they just look like they don't balance well? _________________ ...all the gray areas are becoming black holes... |

Yeah, they are a bit neck heavy and the bridge is more to the left than a "normal" guitar. Does help with palm muting though. _________________ There ain't nothing you can't play on a Telecaster

| Are those the 'mini humbuckers'? How do they sound? There was a thread linking to a Warren H. video and the discussion about the pickups in the Thunderbird he was playing. These look the same. Is it me or does this color seems unual? I'm use to seeing dark (red, black or sunburst) T-birds; blond seems more of a Telecaster color. |
