Well, I don't think I'm going to get that Godin archtop. But, on Friday, she goes out for some "errands" and comes back with her sister (who lives in Boulder). Since this visit is totally unexpected, I figure something is up. Then I find out she has rented a house on Claytor lake, about 20 minutes from home, for the week and arranged for a guy to fill in for me at work Thursday, Friday and Monday! We moved into the lake house Sunday and it's beautiful. Right on the water, with 4 levels of decking, 3 docks, and an outdoor hot tub.

Fishing before work today, I'm changing lures and some beast comes to the surface right in front of me and slowly breaks the water as he rolls over. I see just enough of him to tell that I can't fit two hands around his girth. Probably a 6 or 7-lb. largemouth. Just teasing me. Rolling Eyes

OK, now, here's the best part: she has bought plane tickets for my two best buds to come down from NY for 5 days - Thursday to Monday! So it looks like 145 Guy and myself will be jamming again at a different lake. Cool

See you in a couple of days, Tim! The beer's on ice and I'm stocked up with good cigars!

There will be pics. Hopefully one of us will be holding a big fat bass or a muskie, but more likely just a beer. Rolling Eyes

I wanna see a muskie!!! I've never caught one and have always wanted to! Let me live vicariously through you tele! I'm sending positive muskie mojo your way!

Repeat after me ... muskie, muskie, muskie!

Regardless, have a great time and kudos to your wife for taking care of you on this birthday milestone! Congrats!

Sure dude, I wish you happy birthday... just stop counting of the years, that isn't so important, much more is important how you feel yourself. Numbers are just for statistics and annuals Laughing
